This docudrama feature film originated from a human behavior case study. It illustrates how belief systems created by society victimize people and destroy their lives, especially when people believe their value as human beings, as defined by society, is determined by what kind of job that they have, what car they drive and how much money that they have. All of the characters in Living the Dream have different background stories that show how they are victims of indoctrination and how it affect s their interactions with others. Even the good people turn bad, going from being victims to becoming victimizers, without even realizing it. The goal of the film's message is to expose how society's negative and destructive belief systems cause people to chase dreams, which actually turn into nightmares when all sense of what truly matters in life is lost.
